The application has several features and services.The news section allows students,staff,faculty as well as prospective students and parents to check the latest news and events happening in the university; while the announcements section will allow users to check the upcoming events that are taking place.
There is an academic calender service which allows users to download the calendar and keeps track of important upcoming dates.
The directory will allow users to look up any staff or faculty members that they are looking for,contact them with a touch of a button through email, and add them to their very own favourites list.
Students and prospective students will make use of the courses service,which allows them to look up classes and get the description,timings,instructor, and semester offered - which will prove as a highly useful tool to plan their academic semesters.
This will go hand in hand with the GPA calculator tool, which allow students to keep track of their GPA and calculate how it will change with their current semester's grades.
There is also a final exam schedule feature where students will log in and keep track of when and where their exams will be taking place.
The GUSTalk service will allow users to listen to the GUST podcasts and stay up-to-date with the latest lectures and seminars recorded within the university.
And for users not yet a part of the GUST community, there is a location service which will allow them to pin point the university location on the map.
This is yet another forward-thinking step that GUST has taken to cater to its students and future students alike and allow them a more direct and active connection with the university.
